design. The Trident 15 is the fastest Ocean Kayak in the line,
with a stable, larger volume hull made for handling rougher
conditions and getting you and your gear through surf safely.

The Rod Pod
The
Trident's unique rod access allows the angler to access fishing
rods while sitting in the kayak. Ideal for rough water, offshore,
and tournament fishing, the Rod Pod helps protect your valuble
fishing rods by keeping them safely inside the hull. Beneath
the hatch, there is also a storage tray for tackle, cell phone,
and other small items, plus plenty of space on the Rod Pod
lid for mounting additional rod holders.
The Trident's
unique "sonar shield" allows safe and secure mounting
of a fishfinder or GPS. The hatch lid not only provides protection
for the unit, but also shades the screen for better viewing.
When not in use your electronics are protected and out of
the way, perfect for those venturing through surf or rough
water conditions where having a clean deck is critical. The
Trident also features the Ocean Kayak exclusive Humminbird
Transducer Compatible Scupper. We think that this feature
combined with a combination GPS/Fish Finder will make this
an exceptional kayak fishing tournament yak.
The
molded-in foot wells extend only half way offering an area for
standing, while not giving up the benefits of having heal contact
with the yak while paddling. For sit-on-tops, which lack built
in thigh braces, having your heel push against the hull is critical
for speed and boat control in rough water. for hard core conditions,
the Trident 15 features eyelets for thigh straps.
Ocean
Kayaks new Cross Lock hatch system is ideal for the kayak angler
who frequently needs access to the bow hatch while out on the
water. The new oversized hatch opening will swallow up the largest
of gear, while the Rod Pod access allows fishing rods to be
stowed facing the stern. this leaves the entire bow free for
gear. The Trident also features reflective deck lines for night
time/low light conditions..
